Smoking Area at Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW)

Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW) is a completely smoke-free facility indoors, including all terminals, restrooms, restaurants, and gate areas. This applies to cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and vaping devices.

Where to Smoke:

• Designated smoking areas are located outside each terminal: near the North and South entrances of the McNamara Terminal, and outside the North and South ends of the Evans Terminal. These areas are marked and equipped with ashtrays.

Re-entry requires passing through TSA screening again. Smoking outside designated areas may result in fines. Always follow posted signs and use ashtrays to keep DTW clean.
