Looking to smoke at Pittsburgh International Airport? Here’s what you need to know:
All indoor areas at PIT — including both the Landside and Airside Terminals — are officially designated as non-smoking zones. That means no cigarettes, no e-cigs, and no vapes while you’re inside.
Still, if you do need a smoke break, PIT has outdoor smoking areas set up just for that purpose. These are located outside the Landside Terminal, near the passenger pick-up/drop-off zones and the baggage claim exits. Look for signage that marks these areas — they’re equipped with ashtrays to keep things clean.
Heads up: you’ll have to exit the secure area to get there. If you do, be sure to allow extra time — you’ll need to re-clear security before heading back to your gate.
Pittsburgh Airport combines a fresh, smoke-free indoor environment with outdoor options for travelers who smoke — making sure everyone stays comfortable.
