Sacramento International Airport (SMF) maintains a smoke-free environment inside both Terminal A and Terminal B. Cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and vaping devices are not allowed anywhere indoors.
Additionally, smoking is prohibited within 25 feet of any entrance or exit to an airport building. This restriction also includes e-cigarettes and vape pens, in compliance with regional clean-air laws.
For those who wish to smoke, designated outdoor smoking areas are located near the curbside drop-off and pick-up areas outside the terminals. These zones are clearly marked and offer ashtrays for proper disposal.
Important: If you exit the secure area to use a smoking zone, you must go through TSA screening again before returning to your gate. Plan accordingly to avoid delays.
By combining outdoor accommodations with a clean interior atmosphere, SMF provides a travel experience that respects both non-smokers and those who smoke.
