Huntsville International Airport (HSV) maintains a completely smoke-free terminal. Smoking, including the use of vapes and e-cigarettes, is strictly forbidden inside the building, covering all areas from boarding gates to restaurants and restrooms.

Travelers who need to smoke can do so only in the designated outdoor areas positioned away from entrances, generally near the curbside pick-up and drop-off zones. These spaces are clearly signed and contain ashtrays to help maintain cleanliness.

• Re-entry Process: Stepping outside to smoke means you’ll need to pass through security again before accessing your gate. Please plan for an extra 15 to 20 minutes.
• Violation Consequences: Ignoring the 25-foot rule or smoking in unauthorized spots may result in fines starting at $50, with additional penalties for repeat offenses.
• Respect the Space: Use provided ashtrays and avoid littering to help keep HSV welcoming for everyone.
