Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) maintains a strictly smoke-free policy inside all terminals, including restrooms, gate areas, dining spaces, and lounges. The use of cigarettes, vapes, and e-cigarettes is completely prohibited indoors.
Designated Outdoor Smoking Areas – Pre-Security Only:
Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor zones located outside each terminal, before passing through TSA security. These areas are clearly marked and positioned at least 20 feet away from entrances, exits, and ventilation systems, in accordance with Florida law.
Terminals 1, 2, 3, and 4 all offer smoking areas near the curbside on the arrivals level.
Ashtrays are provided to encourage proper disposal and maintain cleanliness.
Important to Know:
FLL does not have any indoor or post-security smoking lounges.
Passengers who exit to smoke must go through TSA screening again to return to the departure gates.
Smoking outside approved areas may result in fines or enforcement actions.
FLL thanks you for following its smoke-free policy and helping ensure a cleaner, more pleasant travel experience for all.
